Carolyn has played in ensembles large and small for many decades, touring throughout Europe, Asia, and the USA. Highlights include New York's Carnegie Hall, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, London's Royal Albert Hall, Sydney Opera House, and major concert halls throughout Germany, Switzerland, Australia, China, and Japan. 

Recording highlights include film scores such as Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, as well as multiple recordings for CD, television, and streaming services. Carolyn has performed dozens of operas and ballets, and has worked with many of the world's great conductors including Vasily Petrenko, Kristjan Järvi, Donald Runnicles, Tobias Ringborg, and David Zinman. Carolyn loves to assist harpists who are new to the adventure of orchestra!

 

There is a lot to learn and it can sometimes feel overwhelming if you are not used to it.



Fortunately, there are many things you can do to help yourself be more comfortable on the stage with dozens of other musicians around you and the conductor in front of you asking for "more harp!!"
